Welcome to my crazy little world.
A little bit of magic. A lot of leopard print. And absolutely no desire to be normal.
I'm Jem. Former primary school teacher, tattoo artist, mum of three and the woman behind Tinytats and The Ridiculous Little Shop of Wonder.
Somewhere along the way, my love of tattoos, outrageous interiors, ridiculous artwork and making women feel fabulous turned into this wonderfully chaotic little world.
And now you're part of it.
Welcome. Make yourself at home.
Pull up a chair.
Just don't expect NORMAL.
Hello, I'm Jem! 💗
THE WOMAN BEHIND THE CIRCUS. 🎪
I'm a mum of three, a former primary school teacher, a tattoo artist and a woman who has never been particularly good at doing things the conventional way.
I started Tinytats with a dream of creating something of my own. Somewhere women could walk through the door, feel completely themselves, have a laugh, tell their stories and leave with a little piece of magic.
Somewhere along the way, it became so much more than tattoos.
And then came the leopard print, the ridiculous artwork, the obsession with beautiful interiors and an ever-growing collection of ideas that probably make absolutely no sense to anyone but me.
Welcome to The Ridiculous Little Shop of Wonder.
A place for women who love things a little louder, a little stranger and a lot more unapologetic.
I believe your home should make you smile. Your walls should tell stories. And you should never have to explain why you absolutely NEED a leopard-print horse wearing a crown.
I'm not here to tell women how to live their lives.
I'm just here, figuring out my own, making things I love and hopefully reminding a few women along the way that life is far too short to blend in.
It's my circus. And you're very welcome in it. 💗
Meet Mum...
BECAUSE APPARENTLY THE MADNESS RUNS IN THE FAMILY.
Behind every slightly ridiculous woman is usually another one who encouraged her along the way.
Meet Mumzy. My mum, my biggest cheerleader and a woman with more creativity in her little finger than she gives herself credit for.
While I'm busy dreaming up leopard-print horses and wonderfully unnecessary things, Mumzy has her own kind of magic.
She makes the most beautiful little handmade creations, from adorable mice and owls to tiny characters full of personality.
She's one of those women who can turn the simplest materials into something special, yet somehow doesn't quite realise how talented she is.
So naturally, I've decided the world needs to see what she makes.
Welcome to Mumzy's Corner.
A little space within my ridiculous shop for her handmade treasures, created with love, patience and a whole lot of imagination.
Because sometimes the most wonderful things aren't made in factories.
They're made by someone's mum, sitting at home, quietly being bloody brilliant.
Love you, Mumzy. Now stop telling me nobody will buy them!
